This podcast, developed in consultation with perinatal psychiatrists from Belmont Private Hospital—Queensland’s only dedicated inpatient mother–baby unit delivering care for over 30 years—equips GPs with practical knowledge to identify and manage both common and complex presentations in perinatal mental health.

Through a relaxed, case-based conversation, experts explore real-world scenarios including antenatal depression and anxiety, postpartum obsessional symptoms, distinguishing baby blues from postnatal depression, and the critical importance of recognising and responding to postpartum psychosis.
