Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune neurological disorder that affects the central nervous system (CNS), which includes the brain and spinal cord. It is characterized by the immune system mistakenly attacking the protective myelin sheath that surrounds nerve fibers, leading to damage and disruption in the transmission of electrical impulses along nerve cells. MS is a complex and often unpredictable condition with a wide range of symptoms and severity levels.
