Aurora Health’s National CPD Education Roadshow 2024: Supporting GPs in Mental Health Care

Aurora’s national CPD education roadshow recently concluded, with 10 accredited events attracting 425 attendees across the country. These sessions provided GPs with valuable opportunities to enhance their understanding of mental health care and learn more about the specialised services available locally.

The program featured a diverse range of topics and an interactive format, combining case-based education with engaging panel discussions. A multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other specialists contributed to creating a collaborative and practical learning experience. The 12-week program concluded with our inaugural Masterclass with 100 GPs and a handful of Psychiatrists.

Expanding CPD Opportunities in 2025

Looking ahead, Aurora’s CPD program will expand to include bi-monthly masterclasses in key locations around the country, alongside regular, smaller, focused interactive dinner meetings. These sessions will continue to offer practical education while fostering collaboration between GPs and specialists.

In addition to events, Aurora will provide a range of other CPD activities, ensuring GPs have ongoing access to high-quality resources that support their professional development and enhance patient care in mental health and rehabilitation. Planning is well underway, and we look forward to building on the success of this year’s program.
