Professional background
Dr Fiona Fairbrother completed medicine at the university of Queensland in 2010 and has been a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) since 2018.
Dr Fairbrother as a general adult psychiatrist, is focussed on patient recovery within a holistic and trauma informed framework for people experiencing a wide spectrum of mental health conditions such as mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and psychosis.
Dr Fairbrother has a particular interest in women’s mental health, the impact of trauma on mental health and the developing field of sports psychiatry.
Dr Fairbrother is a member of the International Society of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD) and the International Society of Sports Psychiatry (ISSP).
