Professional background
Dr Wu has been working at Westmead Rehabilitation Hospital since 2006. She completed her MBBS in 1995 at the University of Adelaide. Dr Wu is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) since 2005 and is a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand. She is also a Clinical Supervisor for advanced training Rehabilitation Medicine registrars and has been exam convenor in previous years for the AFRM.
Dr Wu has extensive clinical and research experience in the field of rehabilitation medicine, with a particular interest in early rehabilitation interventions. Dr Wu successfully led the largest multi-centre trial to date which used an in-reach rehabilitation service for survivors of road trauma. She completed the first data linkage project linking the NSW Trauma Registry with the Australasian Rehabilitation Outcomes Centre (AROC) data. She was the recipient of competitive funding research funding from the Motor Accidents Authority of NSW (now State Insurance Regulatory Authority), Royal Australian College of Physicians, and the NSW Agency of Clinical Innovations.
Proficient in all areas of rehabilitation medicine, Dr Wu has particular interests in geriatric, neurological, orthopaedic and cardiac rehabilitation.
