Professional background
Dr Byrne has completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Queensland. She has worked in private and public hospitals for over 7 years.
She has experience completing neuropsychological assessments for a range of referral questions including neurodevelopmental differences. Dr Byrne is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals and currently facilitates ADHD and Autism group programs at Belmont Private Hospital.
The assessment process consists of:
- Clinical Interview (60-90 minutes)
- Questionnaires (in-person and online)
- Standarised assessment measures
- Report writing
- Feedback session
Dr Byrne is trained in the administration and scoring of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale
(ADOS-2).
After the assessment you will be provided with a comprehensive written report. Analysing the data and writing the report takes time, so we typically schedule a feedback session for 4-6 weeks later. Please note, Dr Byrne does not currently offer Cognitive testing or assessments for Intellectual Disability.
