Professional background
Lee-Ann’s career has spanned 14 years as an educator followed by 25 years as a psychologist.
Following her initial vocational choice as a teacher, she completed a graduate degree in psychology with first class Honors as a mature aged student. During her doctoral studies in the field of adolescent career counselling, Lee-Ann was employed as a lecturer, course convener and tutor on the Gold Coast campus of Griffith University. In 2004 she returned to the school environment as Student Psychologist at Coomera Anglican College where she worked for 15 years establishing a practice committed to the wellbeing of students and their families. More recently Lee-Ann has worked in private practice. In 2022 she joined the allied health team at Robina Private Hospital working with inpatients and facilitating an outpatient group entitled Building Strength and Resilience.
With extensive training and experience in a variety of therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, Family Therapy, ACT and Gestalt Therapy, Lee-Ann tailors her sessions to the needs of her clients. She is especially interested in group work for adolescents as well as supportive individual therapy for those suffering from anxiety and depression. Lee-Ann also enjoys working with families and couples wanting to develop more authentic contact and communication.
Lee-Ann has been registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) since 1999 and she holds current membership with the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI).
