Dr Paxie Olm

Dr Paxie Olm is a private psychiatrist consulting at Currumbin Clinic.  She offers a compassionate biopsychosocial approach to mental health care and offers a range of services including medication management, psychological interventions, referral to group therapy programs, rTMS, esketamine, inpatient treatment and drug and alcohol detox.  Dr Olm is experienced in managing work place injuries with a special interest in trauma and mood disorders. 

Dr Olm studied Medicine in Brisbane at University of Queensland, having grown up on a farm in the Lockyer Valley. Prior to commencement of her specialty she completed her junior doctor training at Toowoomba Hospital and worked in intensive care at St Vincent’s Hospital.

She completed extensive rural general medical training with rotations in Charleville, Mt Isa, Jandowie, Miles, Texas and Stanthorpe. It was during this time she saw the need for excellent mental health treatment and decided to focus on psychiatry as a career. 

Dr Olm is dedicated to providing individualised care, working closely with her patients and General Practitioners  to create personalised treatment plans. She is currently accepting new patients and provides both inpatient and outpatient care, specialising in trauma recovery and mood disorder management.
