Professional background
Sally is a registered Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW). Sally adopts a non-judgmental, client centred and collaborative style of practice. She uses a warm and compassionate approach to therapy and aims to understand her clients’ lived experience, while empowering them to navigate challenges and enhance their wellbeing.
Sally has an extensive background working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced significant trauma in addition to a range of other presentations. She has experience working in government and private health care, including hospital and community settings. Sally draws on a range of evidence-based integrative approaches to therapy including EMDR, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and Parts-Work. Sally works from a trauma-informed, strengths and attachment-based framework.
Sally works as part of the Belmont Therapy Programs Team, as well as in the outpatient Belmont Psychology Clinic.
