Professional background

Luke is a registered psychologist with experience working with a wide variety of adult presentations across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Luke has experience working with developmental and adult trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, neurodiversity, personality disorders and relationship difficulties. Luke has a particular speciality working with occupational trauma, having previously worked in a variety of roles in the Work Cover space including occupational rehabilitation, mediation and medicolegal assessment.

Luke is trained in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused CBT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).

Luke is a warm and empathetic clinician and believes strongly in a collaborative approach, including clients in decision-making about treatment planning and trajectory.

Outside of his work, Luke is an avid reader and enjoys soccer, hiking and swimming.
