Professional background
Dr Saveena Singh is a consultant psychiatrist with special interest in the area of women’s health, which includes perinatal psychiatry including prescribing in pregnancy and breastfeeding, menstrual and perimenopausal mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, depression and anxiety disorders. She also has an interest in youth mental health and general adult psychiatry with expertise in a wide range of psychopathology.
Dr Singh completed her medical degree in South Africa and then completed her Masters in Clinical Psychiatry in the UK, where she spent more than eight years working in the NHS. She moved to Australia where she completed her Fellowship in Psychiatry and now works as a consultant psychiatrist on the Gold Coast. Holding an active interest and involvement in research, Dr Singh was a member of the John Cade Fellowship Trials working committee.
