Dr Verere Bateren

Dr Verere Bateren is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) with over a decade of experience in adult psychiatry. She has a strong clinical interest in trauma recovery and is currently accepting referrals for adult patients requiring trauma-informed psychiatric care.

Her practice includes individuals experiencing the long-term effects of complex PTSD, childhood or relational trauma, as well as those navigating trauma associated workplace injuries, domestic violence, indigenous health, and womens mental health. Dr Bateren combines psychiatric assessment and management with psychological interventions, drawing from psychodynamic psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.

Celebrating cultural sensitivity, gender diversity, as well as a collaborative and holistic approach, she aims to support individuals in understanding their experiences, restoring internal safety, and moving toward lasting recovery. Dr Bateren currently has availability for inpatient and outpatient referrals.
