Holiday Season Services & Programs

Programs and services available over the holiday season

The holiday season, while often a time of celebration, can present significant challenges for people with mental health disorders. Increased stress, social pressures, and the prevalence of substances during this period can lead to heightened risks of relapse or a case of the 'Holiday Blues' (Alcohol and Drug Foundation, 2024).

That’s why we’re open this Christmas, offering short-term respite care in a safe, supportive environment. Whether you’re planning a holiday, need time to recharge, or simply want peace of mind, our team is here to help.

New Services Enriching Our Community Support

This year, we’ve expanded our services to better meet the needs of our community—especially during times when support matters most.

  • Outpatient Mental Health Programs
These new programs offer inclusive, community-based care for individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions, helping people access support closer to home.
  • Telehealth Mental Health Services
Virtual therapy options allow patients to receive care from the comfort of their homes, making treatment more accessible—especially for those in regional or remote areas.
  • Trauma Skills Group
A 12-week program designed to help individuals manage trauma-related symptoms and build resilience. Grounded in CBT and DBT, it provides practical strategies for emotional regulation and recovery.
  • New Specialist Appointments
We’ve welcomed several new psychiatrists and physicians with expertise in older adult mental health care, infectious diseases, trauma recovery, and psychodynamic therapy. Their arrival strengthens our ability to provide timely, specialised care and ensures broader access to expert support.

These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to enriching the care we provide and ensuring our community has access to the right support—especially during the festive season.

If you or a loved one may need support over the holidays, don’t wait—reach out today. Our team is here to help you plan ahead and ensure you have access to the care you need.

Addictions Support

The festive season, while a time of joy and celebration for many, can also be a period of heightened stress and vulnerability, particularly for those struggling with addiction and mental health issues. People with mental health conditions are more likely to drink at risky levels, with 37% of those with mental health conditions reporting risky drinking compared to 32% of those without such conditions.
