Professional background
Dr Bryn Nicholas is a consultant psychiatrist at South Coast Private Hospital and co-founder of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District Psychiatric Journal Club. Dr Nicholas has extensive experience especially within the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Districts.
In addition to clinical practice, he endeavours to provide focus on holistic wellbeing and is comfortable with pharmacological treatment of mental illness. However, the preference is to utilise psychological, social and lifestyle interventions and, where appropriate, medications, tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Outside of work, he enjoys Football (Soccer), Bodyboarding, Running, Film and being outdoors.
