Professional background
Dr Evelyn Ma is a consultant psychiatrist with a broad range of clinical expertise. She has advanced training across several specialised areas of mental health, including old age psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and perinatal mental health. Dr Ma provides holistic, evidence-based care that integrates physical, psychological, cognitive, and social factors—particularly in presentations that span both medical and psychiatric domains.
Dr Ma completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland, trained at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). She holds certification with both the Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age and the Faculty of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
Her clinical approach is compassionate, collaborative, trauma-informed, and person-centred, with a strong focus on supporting patients to achieve meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
