Aurora Healthcare Virtual Day Programs

Quality mental health support — from the comfort of your home

Aurora Healthcare’s Virtual Day Programs make it easier to access professional mental health care, no matter where you live.

Our online group programs are welcoming, supportive and designed to help you build skills, gain insight and improve your wellbeing — all through secure video sessions you can join from home.

These programs offer the same evidence‑based support you’d receive in person, guided by experienced clinicians and supported by a community of people who understand what you’re going through.

Why Choose a Virtual Day Program?

Virtual care is ideal if:

  • You live far from one of our hospitals or can’t travel easily
  • You’re balancing work, study, parenting or caring duties
  • Health or mobility challenges make in‑person sessions difficult

Our goal is to ensure you never miss out on support simply because getting to a hospital is hard.

How Virtual Sessions Work

Our virtual programs use a secure, easy‑to‑use videoconferencing platform. Each session includes:

  • Live group discussions
  • Therapeutic activities
  • Skills‑based exercises
  • Guidance from trained mental health clinicians

When Face‑to‑Face May Be Better

Certain programs work best when delivered in person — especially those involving hands‑on therapeutic techniques or close clinician support.

If your clinician feels you would benefit more from on‑site therapy, they’ll discuss this with you and help guide your next steps.

What Does It Cost?

Some private health funds and external funding providers support virtual attendance for day programs. Coverage can vary depending on your plan.

Our admissions team can help check:

  • Whether your fund covers virtual group programs
  • Any out‑of‑pocket costs
  • Self‑funded options available at your chosen Aurora hospital
