Collaboration in Action at Aurora Healthcare’s Integrated Care Series

Aurora Healthcare would like to extend a sincere thank you to all GPs and healthcare professionals who attended our Integrated Care Series event on the Gold Coast this weekend at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove.

With a full house in attendance, the event highlighted the growing demand for high-quality GP education in mental health, bringing together clinicians committed to improving patient outcomes through collaboration and shared expertise.

Driving Better Mental Health Outcomes Through GP Education

Designed as an interactive mental health education event for GPs, the Integrated Care Series focused on practical, real-world challenges faced in general practice. Rather than traditional lecture-style sessions, the day encouraged open discussion, case-based learning, and multidisciplinary perspectives.

The result was an engaging and dynamic learning environment, where attendees actively contributed to meaningful conversations across our sessions.

Strong Engagement and Meaningful Clinical Discussion

A highlight of the day was the high level of audience engagement and conversation. From panel discussions to informal networking, GPs asked thoughtful questions, and explored complex cases alongside specialists.

This level of engagement reflects the importance of collaborative mental health care—supporting GPs with practical strategies to manage increasingly complex presentations across areas such as trauma, addiction, and comorbid conditions.

Key Topics in Modern Mental Health Care

The program covered a wide range of essential and emerging topics in mental health, including:

  • Women’s mental health and hormonal mood disorders
  • Trauma-informed care in general practice
  • Dementia and cognitive health advancements
  • Addiction, dual diagnosis, and recovery pathways
  • Eating disorders and co-occurring conditions
  • Emerging therapies, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

These sessions reinforced the value of integrated care pathways, ensuring patients have access to the right level of support across inpatient, outpatient, and day program settings.

Collaboration Across Aurora Healthcare Hospitals

This event brought together leading clinicians from across the Aurora Healthcare SEQ network, including Belmont Private Hospital, Currumbin Clinic, and Robina Private Hospital plus our guests from iMH Nundah Private Hospital—demonstrating the strength of a connected, multidisciplinary approach to mental health care.

We extend our sincere thanks to our expert speakers and contributors, whose knowledge and clinical expertise made the day so impactful:
